Rajma hummus | red bean hummus recipe

Equipment

  • High speed blender / Vitamix /food processor

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rajma / kidney beans
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt as per taste
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice

Instructions

  • Soak kidney beans overnight or for 3-4 hours in water in a large mixing bowl.
  • Boil 1 cup of rajma with salt until it is soft in a presure cooker or instant pot. Discard water.
  • Now, add 1 cup water, salt, lemon juice along with 1 tbsp. oil to kidney beans in a high-speed blender.
  • Make a flavorful hummus by blending until you get a smooth consistency.
  • Serve with carrot,celery sticks, tortilla chips or pita bread.
